As a food lover, a reformed chef and someone who takes dining out relatively seriously, I am constantly looking for the best of the best – items on a menu, or examples of a particular dish that are exceptional and at the ‘top of the class’. When a restaurant boasts the ‘best steak in town’, therefore, it has to be worth checking out, and if you decide to put the Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse to the test, may I suggest that you bring friends.

In an elegant building on Mohamed Sultan Road, the restaurant is ‘sophisticated rustic’ – if that’s not too oxymoronic. It’s fine dining, but with a casualness that’s designed to reflect a combination of Tuscan farmhouse chic and French brasserie boudoir charm. Staff take their jobs seriously, and you can definitely count on them to feel right at home.

This restaurant, located in a century-old old mansion, has just been renovated. The exposed brick walls and wooden floors add a sense of history to Italy.  Its most classic steak costs $ 188, and the minimum consumption is $ 80. The minimum consumption on weekdays will change.

Italian steak ravioli, the most authentic pasta, classic Italian desserts, plus bistro . Will definitely please your girl! In order to ensure that each customer gets the best service , this shop receives about 30 customers every day. Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse

This eight-year-old Italian steakhouse channels a warm, rustic Tuscan ambience with interiors of red brick and wood, with bold artwork on its walls. Its menu is seriously meat-centric, yet offers a delightful cornucopia of authentic Italian antipasti and pasta. The salumi platter and the burrata with sweet Pachino tomatoes make for great starters, while the linguini with squid ink, spicy pork nduja and calamari is a must-try for its al dente bite and perfect balance. Taking centre stage is the wood fire-grilled 1.1kg Bistecca alla Fiorentina, which has been grain-fed and aged for at least 420 days, resulting in deeper umami flavours. Other meats on the menu include the Miyazaki Wagyu striploin A4 accompanied by an herb-infused fleur de sel, the Iberico pork chop, the rack of lamb and the roast chicken. There’s a very impressive list of sommelier’s-choice wines, so raise a glass to la dolce vita and round off your fine-dining experience with some tiramisu, panna cotta or gelato.
