If you’re celebrating a special occasion at home, check out Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse’s curated packages, available for takeaway and delivery from Wednesday to Sunday, 5pm to 9pm. There’s the Costata Package ($220) for two to three people, which comes with a sharing salad, two side dishes (creamed spinach and potato puree), two desserts (sticky date pudding and tiramisu), and a 1.1kg F1 Wagyu bone-in ribeye (420+ days grain-fed, MBS6 from Australia). The restaurant’s signature sides and steaks are also available off the a la carte menu, like the Bistecca alla Fiorentina (T-bone) in 900g at $160 for two people.

This superbly thick T-bone steak comes seared Tuscan-style over a wood-fired grill, producing a well-charred slab with a juicy red centre. If you aren’t up for sharing, they’ve got individual cuts too, from luscious Hanger steak (S$54 for 200g) to Tenderloin (S$69 for 200g) with a marbling score of six.

A quick survey of the steakhouses in the recently announced World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants 2021 shows that I the typical steakhouse isn’t as typical anymore! What also caught my attention was that our locally established Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse managed to clinge 13th spot in the list!Not bad for a country that doesn’t raise its own cattle! The only other Singaporean restaurant that made it to the top 101 is the newly opened Butcher’s Block Surprisingly, One Michelin Star CUT, didn’t make it to the list!
